PC Muscle Memory?

Hi, basically up until about 8 months ago, I had a very healthy penis. When I first read about kegels online, I did a few and I got the strongest erection I'd EVER had, great angle and it was so hard it started to hurt, however I guess I went a bit overboard and did way too many that night. The next day, I couldn't even get an erection. Nothing! It was like that for about a week or so.

I joined this site recently and, as a novice, Im wondering whether the fact that my pc muscle was at one point very much in shape will have an effect on my progress. Like, if it was very strong 8 months ago, will that come back to me sooner than it would do if I'd never had a strong pc muscle?
